99 miles. 2 days. 1 incredible cause.
On 18th and 19th July, our adventurous MEP team successfully cycled the Devon Coast 2 Coast route! This meant cycling from the rugged hills of Ilfracombe to the harbour in Plymouth — all in support of the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity.
The challenge brought together a mix of seasoned riders and first-timers, united by determination, teamwork, and a lot of needed coffee & cake breaks. From lunch at the Puffin Billy Café to a generous donation and warm welcome at Peter Tavy on Dartmoor, this journey was as much about camaraderie and community as it was about the miles.
There were plenty of laughs along the way, a few moans, tough climbs and sore legs. Still, the whole team made it to the finish line together — tired, but proud.
We’re delighted to share that the ride raised over £2,000— four times our original fundraising target. None of this would have been possible without the support of family, friends, colleagues, clients, and the kind strangers who cheered us on and donated along the way.
This wasn’t just about fundraising: it was also a brilliant team-building experience and a reminder of why we value wellbeing, staying active, and giving back to our community. We plan to take on at least one challenge this every year. Not all cycling. Not all familiar. But all as a team.
