Proposed new homes for a Cotswold Village

Background

On behalf of a private client, MEP is proud to have submitted a planning application for three high quality new dwellings in Ewen, a small Cotswold village located near Kemble.

The site currently comprises a residential garden and field.  The proposal is a revision to the approved scheme in that it increases the site area and amends the design of the proposed dwellings.

The dwellings, which are arranged in a courtyard form, are of a high quality  and represent a sustainable form of development.

The design of the proposed new dwellings  builds upon the recent permission and pre-planning feedback from the Council

Outcomes

Members of the MEP team worked closely with Blake Architects and Davis Landscape Architecture to produce a high quality scheme which carefully addressed the constraints and opportunities of this sensitive site.

The team have demonstrated that the proposed scheme would conserve and enhance the landscape character and special qualities of the AONB whilst protecting the historic assets of the site.

MEP will continue to monitor the planning application and will work closely with Cotswold District Council to ensure that the highest quality scheme is provided.
