The site is located within both the Cotswold National Landscape and the Charlbury Conservation Area, and also includes trees covered by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO). This meant the scheme demanded a highly sensitive approach to landscape, ecology, and heritage.

The MEP team led the application which involved formulating a team of expert consultants, reviewing specialist consultants’ reports, preparing relevant documentation and submitting the application.

The sensitivity of the site meant that extensive consultation was required with conservation and arboricultural specialists, the local community and the officers within the local planning authority. Our team led this consultation process and also presented at committee.

Planning permission was secured for 26 new homes.
