On behalf of the a rural estate, Morgan Elliot Planning are delighted to have secured full planning permission for the change of use and conversion of an agricultural barn to offices in the rural area of South Gloucestershire.
Working closely with Blake Architects, the main challenges faced were the scale of development in this location, with offices comprising a ‘main town centre use’, and its impact within the Cotswold AONB.
Following detailed discussions with South Glos Council, Morgan Elliot was able to justify that the economic, social and environmental benefits the proposals would bring, outweighed the conflict in principle with the development plan.
It was great to work with officers at the Council who did not shy away from looking at a scheme in the round and considered the aim of supporting a prosperous rural economy.ย
The team are looking forward to the development of this high-quality scheme.
